The Wolf Pack football team missed out on a big-time bonus check last week but cashed in this week.
Nevada's game at San Diego State on Nov. 28 was selected Monday for an ESPN2 telecast and as a result, the Wolf Pack will get $500,000 as part of the Mountain West's national television bonus payout system. The game will kick off at 7:45 p.m.
The Wolf Pack's game this Saturday against Utah State wasn't picked up by ESPN or ESPN2 last week (it's on ESPN3, the network's online stream), which meant no bonus.
The national television bonus payout system, agreed upon by the school’s presidents and athletic directors in December 2012, guaranteed additional money to teams that play a conference game or non-league home game on ESPN, ESPN2, ABC, NBC or CBS.
