Wolf Pack lands commitment from three-star quarterback

The Nevada football team received its first traditional commitment in its 2018 recruiting class with the pledge coming at the most important position on the field: quarterback.

Carson Strong, a three-star prospect from nearby Vacaville, Calif., said Tuesday he will sign with the Wolf Pack and join the team for the 2018 season. Strong is a two-sport star at Wood High, serving as the school’s starting quarterback while also averaging a double-double in basketball.

The 6-foot-4, 207-pound Strong is the latest piece to the Wolf Pack’s revamped quarterback position. First-year coach Jay Norvell has added four quarterbacks since being hired last December.
