If you’re curious who the starting five on the Nevada basketball team is this year, you’re not alone.
Coach Eric Musselman also is curious to find out.
“The truth is I still don’t know who is going to start,” Musselman said.
But that puzzle will start to unfold Friday at 7 p.m. when Nevada hosts Dominican University, a Division II school in San Rafael, Calif., in the Wolf Pack’s first exhibition game of the season and first live action under Musselman, who was hired in March to try and revitalize the once-proud program.
Musselman said the Wolf Pack players won’t know who is starting until Friday’s shoot-around and he’ll use his two exhibition games (Nevada hosts Alaska-Fairbanks the following Friday) to try and get a feel for who should be starting and which grouping of players work best together on the court.
