The Wolf Pack continues to beef up its future frontcourt after landing a major verbal commitment Monday from four-star recruit Arlando Cook, one of the top junior-college players in the nation.
Cook announced Monday he will play for Nevada over his other finalists, Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Missouri and Memphis. The 6-foot-9, 215-pound Cook averaged 11.4 points, 9.3 rebounds and shot 57.2 percent from the field during his freshman season at Connors State College in Oklahoma.
Cook visited Nevada’s campus this week and decided to commit to coach Eric Musselman and staff.
“Coach Muss seems like a real down-to-Earth guy and he’s honest,” said Cook, adding he enjoyed his first visit to Reno (the closest he had been was Phoenix).
