Wolf Pack assistant coach Dave Rice is leaving Nevada for the same position at Washington.
Rice joined the Wolf Pack last April following four and a half seasons as UNLV's head coach. He helped Nevada win its first Mountain West championship, as Nevada swept the regular season and tournament titles, and reach the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2007.
The Wolf Pack went 28-7, matching the second-most wins in program history. At Washington, Rice will join the staff of first-year head coach Mike Hopkins, who was hired by the Huskies last month.
"I am so proud to have been a part of a Nevada Wolf Pack championship season," Rice said in a tweet.
