Former Wolf Pack basketball player Deonte Burton has signed with the Phoenix Suns and received a training camp invitation, according to a report by Basketball Insiders.
Burton's deal is non-guaranteed, meaning Burton essentially is getting a tryout with the team. If he does stick with the Suns, his deal is worth about $525,000, per Basketball Insiders.
Burton, a point guard from Los Angeles, was one of the most electric players in Wolf Pack history. A four-year starter from 2010-14, Burton finished second in program history in scoring and is one of two Nevada players to reach 2,000 points in his career (Nick Fazekas is the only other player to accomplish that).
