The Nevada and UNLV basketball teams have played 29 single-season two-games series in the history of their 54-year rivalry. Of those 29, UNLV has swept 16 of the series. Nevada has swept only four of them.
On Saturday, the Wolf Pack looks to add a rare rivalry series sweep when it plays a reeling Rebels squad at 7 p.m. at Thomas & Mack Center on CBS Sports Network. Nevada, which took a 65-63 win over UNLV last month, scored sweeps of UNLV during the 1961-62 and 1965-66 seasons – when both were Division II schools – and 1994-95 and 2013-14.
