The roller-coaster ride known as Nevada’s 2021 football season ended Monday with a big bowl game loss.
A season that included wins at Cal and Boise State, three Mountain West losses by a combined six points, and the defection of its head coach to a conference rival ended with a 52-24 loss to Western Michigan in the Quick Lane Bowl at Detroit’s Ford Field.
The Wolf Pack finished 8-5, losing three of its final four games.
Playing without a number of regular starters, particularly on offense, Nevada was able to grab a 3-0 lead in the first quarter.
