This year’s PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games, which kick off with Thursday's Opening Ceremonies, will have a local flavor with eight Reno/Tahoe athletes, one local broadcaster and even a Reno cheerleader in attendance. Just getting to the Olympics is a major feat, with locals Travis Ganong (torn ACL), Nate Holland (a three-time Olympian), Hannah Tweeter (a two-time Olympic medalist) and Karly Shorr (competed in the 2014 Games) all falling short this cycle.
