It was one of those nights where you do everything but win.
Nevada stormed back from as many as 18 points down in the second half and had the ball late with a chance to win, but could not get a good shot off in an eventual 79-78 loss to visiting San Diego State on Saturday night.
It was the final regular-season game for both teams. Nevada wrapped up at 12-17 and 6-12 in Mountain West games; the Wolf Pack will open the Mountain West tournament on Wednesday against New Mexico.
After trailing, 59-41, with 11:31 left to play, Nevada put together one of its best rallies of the season.
