Under third-year coach Brian Polian, the Wolf Pack has regularly made small uniform and helmet changes in recent seasons, and one of the changes this year piqued the interest of fans.
The Wolf Pack removed the last name of players from the back of the jerseys. But the decision to do so wasn't a grand message to the team to "play for the name on the front of the jersey." It was simpler.
"I hate to disappoint our fans but the reason we did it is because we only have one set of blues, one set of whites and one set of grays," Polian said.
