Lawlor Events Center has become home to a number of bats the last two weeks, but the Nevada Department of Wildlife has advised the Wolf Pack the flying creatures with a bad reputation don't pose a risk to fans.
The Wolf Pack doesn't know how the unwelcome guests have made their way into the arena, but there were about a dozen inside Lawlor for Nevada's exhibition game Sunday against Stanislaus State.
"We've spoken to a number of wildlife specialists and they've assured us that less than 1 percent of bats have rabies," Nevada athletic director Doug Knuth told the RGJ.
