What the Fremont Cannon means to Wolf Pack

The worst day of Jeremy Macauley’s football career came at Mackay Stadium on Oct. 26, 2013.

Macauley is a born and bred Northern Nevadan. He went to Reed High in Sparks and walked onto to the Wolf Pack. He was good enough to not only make the team but become a starter as a true freshmen.

That brings us to Oct. 26, 2013, his first game against UNLV, his first action in the Battle for the Fremont Cannon. Undoubtedly, it was the biggest game of his career. And it all went horribly wrong.

Playing in front of a sellout crowd at home, the Wolf Pack lost, 27-22, its only defeat to its bitter rivals in the last decade.
