* AS FAR THE NEVADA-UNLV RIVALRY goes, I understand the Governor’s Series isn’t that big of a deal. Wolf Pack fans would far rather have the Fremont Cannon or sweep the Rebels in basketball than win the Governor’s Series, which was created in 2012 when Nevada joined UNLV in the Mountain West. There isn’t a lot of bragging rights that go with saying, “We won the Governor’s Series!
