* LAST WEEK, I WROTE ABOUT the top-10 athletes ever born in Nevada and my research (plus an email from a reader) revealed two long-lost athletes who I’ll call the “Founding Parents” of athletics in the Silver State. They are Marion Jones Farquhar, the first great athlete born in Nevada, and Wheezer Dell, the first pro athlete in one of the four major sports, born in Nevada.
