LOGAN, Utah – The Nevada softball team could not keep Utah State off the board late as the Aggies rallied for a 7-6 win on Friday.
The Aggies’ pinch hit two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth served as the game-winner.
Pack sophomore Aaliyah Gibson recorded her second-consecutive three-hit game, going 3-for-4 with a solo home run.
The Pack (31-15, 9-10 MW) took a quick lead as Gibson drove the second pitch of the game off the scoreboard for her fifth home run of the season.
A lead-off home run in the top of the second by senior Amanda Weis extended the Nevada lead to 2-0.
