Editor's note: The Reno Gazette Journal returned to update this story after the newspaper was made aware of new information about the case.
In November 2017, former Wolf Pack football graduate Jeff Nady pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence — a month after crashing his car into the Nugget Casino Resort in Sparks.
An amended criminal complaint, filed at the Sparks Municipal Court, showed Nady was only charged with a DUI.
Other initial charges, including having an open container in the vehicle, obstructing an officer, leaving the scene of an accident and possessing a gun while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, were all dropped as part of a plea agreement.
