UNLV stops Nevada's home streak at sold-out Lawlor

UNLV beat Nevada 86-78 before a packed house at Lawlor Events Center on Wednesday night as north-south rivalry resumed.

The loss ended the Wolf Pack's 16-game home win streak and put No. 23 Nevada (20-5, 9-2) in second place in the Mountain West (a half-game behind Boise State). It's the first time since Jan. 21, 2017 that the Pack has lost a home game and the fourth time that the Pack has lost when ranked.

The game's MVP was Jovan Mooring, who scored career-high 31 points for the Rebels on 11-of-20 shooting, including 6-of-12 from three. Also had seven boards, two steals, two assists.
