UNLV edges Nevada women's basketball on Saturday night, second game set for Monday

Nevada junior Da’Ja Hamilton scored 19 points on her 21st birthday, including three 3-pointers, and freshman Lexie Givens also had three 3-pointers, but the Wolf Pack couldn't overcome foul trouble in Las Vegas.

UNLV (8-6 overall, 6-3 Mountain West) beat Nevada, 62-57, on Saturday night in Las Vegas, backed by a career-high 28 points from Nia Johnson.

As a team, the Wolf Pack (7-7, 3-6 MW) had its best 3-point shooting game of the season, knocking down a season-high nine from beyond the arc.

The Wolf Pack was called for 21 fouls, to 11 for the Lady Rebels, a point of concern for coach Amanda Levens.
