IRVINE, Calif. – The Nevada baseball team lost a five-run lead with two innings remaining before suffering an 8-7 loss in 10 innings to UC Irvine on Saturday at Anteater Ballpark.
The Wolf Pack jumped out to a 5-1 lead and led 7-2 in the eighth inning. The Anteaters responded with two runs in the eighth, three in the ninth to tie, then a walk-off run in the 10th.
Nevada falls to 3-4 on the season, while UC Irvine improves to 4-3.
Junior shortstop Justin Bridgman led Nevada with two hits and two RBI. The Pack also received two hits apiece from junior Miles Mastrobuoni, sophomore Jordan Pearce and sophomore Grant Fennell.
