When Kaleb Fossum walked off the diamond after his final game as a member of Orange County's El Toro High in May 2015 – an 8-2 win over Dana Point – he figured it wouldn’t be too long before he put a baseball uniform on again.
Fossum, who also starred for El Toro’s football team, planned on playing both sports in college. His original intention was to go to college at Hawaii before a late change flipped him to Washington State, where he would walk on as a member of the Cougars’ football and baseball teams.
