That was one of Nevada basketball coach Steve Alford’s messages Thursday in his first meeting with local media since the close of the 2021-22 season. The Wolf Pack ended that 13-18 season with a heartbreaking loss to Boise State in the Mountain West tournament quarterfinals.
“We made a lot of mistakes and didn’t do a lot of good things, and it was not typical of our program,” Alford said. “I take full responsibility for that. I did not do a good job teaching these young men (that) when adversity rises, you have to raise your level of maturity.
