Three players with local ties were honored by the Mountain West on Monday when the conference handed out its women's basketball honors.
Reno High alum Shalen Shaw, a sophomore guard at Boise State, was named to the All-MW team. She was one of 10 players voted onto the team. Shaw averaged 12.3 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.9 steals per game for Boise State, which finished third in the MW.
The Wolf Pack's Nyasha LeSure, a Reed High alum, was voted an honorable mention. LeSure, a senior forward, averaged 12.7 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.
