It took finally grabbing some rebounds, but Nevada escaped a potentially devastating home loss Tuesday night against San Jose State.
The Wolf Pack, which trailed for much of the night, finally pulled away for an 81-72 win over the Spartans in a Mountain West basketball game at Lawlor Events Center.
The win was the second straight for Nevada, which improved to 11-13 overall and 5-8 in MW games. The Spartans remained winless in conference games (0-13) and dropped to 7-18 overall.
The teams will go at it again Thursday in San Jose in a rare home-and-home series.
