A lot of things happened during Nevada’s demolition of New Mexico on Saturday afternoon, and one of them might have been an exorcism.
The No. 6 Wolf Pack emphatically erased the memory of its ugly loss to the Lobos last month in Albuquerque by hammering New Mexico, 91-62, in front of 11,197 at Lawlor Events Center.
The final represented a 56-point total turnaround from the Lobos’ big 85-58 win over the Wolf Pack on Jan. 5.
On the same day it learned that it was considered a No. 4 seed by the NCAA Tournament selection committee, Nevada improved to 23-1 overall and 10-1 in Mountain West games.
