Still a fighter, Congdon focusing on boxing

After his high school wrestling career wrapped up, Dustin Congdon still had a some fight left in him.

So, Congdon joined the Nevada club boxing team.

Congdon, a freshman at Nevada, is 3-0 in his young boxing career and faces a tough test Saturday when he boxes Matt Suarez from Navy.

Theirs is one of 13 scheduled bouts Saturday, including six Nevada boxers, in a college boxing card at the Eldorado Hotel and Casino. Doors open at 6 p.m. and boxing starts at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Congdon, who wrestled for the highly successful Spanish Springs wrestling team, is boxing at 132 pounds, the same weight he wrestled at.
