For much of the second half of the 2018-19 basketball season, the coaching rumor mill had Eric Musselman as a possible replacement for Steve Alford at UCLA.
Instead, Alford replaced Musselman at Nevada.
Alford was announced as the 19th head coach in Wolf Pack history via a Thursday news release from the university. He replaced Musselman, who led Nevada for four seasons before leaving last week to accept the head-coaching position at Arkansas.
“There is no better coach than Steve Alford to continue the rise of Nevada basketball and we are excited for the next chapter,” Nevada athletics director Doug Knuth said in the news release.
