Freshman Brooke Bolinger threw a complete game with a career-high 10 strikeouts and Raquel Martinez drove home the go-ahead runs in the bottom of the fifth with a two-RBI double as the Nevada softball team defeated Boise State, 5-2, at Hixson Park on Saturday.
Aaliyah Gibson went 2-for-3 with an RBI triple and Jennifer Purcell continued her hot hitting, posting two doubles.
Bolinger earned the win and improved to 10-2. The Wolf Pack (22-5, 3-0 MW) opened conference play with a three-game sweep for the first time since 2008, when the Pack swept Utah State.
