Playing in its first road contest in six matches, the Nevada soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to New Mexico Friday night in Albuquerque at the UNM Soccer Complex in Mountain West action.
A goal by the Lobos (5-5-0, 3-0-0 MW) shortly after the halftime break proved to be the difference in the match. In the 46th minute, New Mexico’s Ruth Bruciaga took a short pass from Quincy Slora and hit a low shot into the left corner of the net.
The Wolf Pack (3-6-2, 0-2-1 MW) created a number of scoring chances in the opening half after six free kick opportunities, most of which were taken down in the Lobos’ end.
