Seven takeaways from Pack's first two games vs. New Mexico

LAS VEGAS – If Nevada could hand-pick a preferred opponent for its first game of the Mountain West Tournament on Thursday at Thomas & Mack Center, New Mexico would be far down the list.

Nevada is 1-6 against New Mexico since the Wolf Pack moved to the MW in 2012, its second-worst record against a league foe, and the Lobos were one of just two teams to sweep Nevada this season.

But that’s the fate the Wolf Pack drew as Nevada looks for its first win in the MW Tournament (the team is 0-3 with losses to Wyoming in 2013, Boise State in 2014 and UNLV in 2015).
