Ian Seau was named the MVP of the Wolf Pack football team's 2015 season Thursday and awarded with the prestigious Golden Helmet Award.
The defensive end, who was a first-team All-MW honoree as a senior in 2015, also was named the team’s Outstanding Defensive Player after finishing the year with 10 sacks, 18.5 tackles for loss and five forced fumbles.
Sophomore running back James Butler was named Nevada's Outstanding Offensive Player after rushing for 1,342 yards, the 11th most in program history in one season, with 6.5 yards per carry and 10 touchdowns.
Kicker Brent Zuzo, a junior, was named the team's Outstanding Special Teams Player after hitting 17-of-19 field goals, with both misses coming from 50-plus yards.
