In its first road game of the season, Nevada experienced some of college basketball’s typical road woes.
The Wolf Pack shot poorly, turned the ball over too often, and suffered through a crucial run by the home team in a 96-74 loss at Santa Clara on Tuesday night, dropping to 1-2 on the season. The Broncos improved to 3-0.
The road trip continues with a quick turnaround for a Thursday game at San Francisco.
Nevada shot 39.1 percent (27-for-69) Tuesday, although it did hit on 13 of its 28 3-point attempts. The Pack also had 15 turnovers, leading to 21 points for Santa Clara.
