Gov. Brian Sandoval said he’s picking the Wolf Pack to go deep in the NCAA Tournament.
Nevada (28-6, 14-4 MW) received their first NCAA tournament berth since 2007 after winning the Mountain West Tournament. They drew a No. 12 seed in the opening round and will play No. 5 Iowa State (23-10, 12-6 Big 12) in Milwaukee.
Sandoval, an alumnus of UNR, said he’s expecting the team to be very successful.
“I’m picking them to the Sweet 16,” he said.
