San Diego State tops Pack softball, 1-0

SAN DIEGO – Freshman Brooke Bolinger threw 6 innings while scattering four hits but it wasn’t enough as the Nevada softball team dropped the rubber match of a three-game series to San Diego State, 1-0, on Wednesday.

Sophomore Jennifer Purcell went 2-for-2 with two doubles for the Wolf Pack (23-7, 4-2 MW) while senior Jasmine Jenkins collected two base hits.

For Bolinger it was her 12th complete game of the season which is one shy of tying for 10th in program history for complete games in a season. Wednesday’s game marked the first time that Nevada had failed to score a run this season.
