That was the average gain on Nevada’s 25 rushing attempts Saturday at Vanderbilt. The inability to get anything going on the ground was a big factor in the Wolf Pack’s 41-10 loss in a game it felt would be much more competitive.

And things don’t get much easier this week for Nevada (1-1), which will face another Power 5 team when Oregon State (1-1) of the Pac-12 visits Mackay Stadium on Saturday.
