Nevada’s 2021-22 athletics year wraps up this weekend with competition at the NCAA outdoor track championships.
The Wolf Pack had a number of outstanding individual seasons on the men’s side in its nine-plus months of competition from late August through June, including three first-team All-Mountain West efforts in football, a record-setting golfer, and a final year from one of the top hitters in Nevada baseball history.
Here’s a look at Nevada’s top male athletes of the year:
1. Romeo Doubs
Football, senior
Doubs was probably the quietest member of the Wolf Pack’s three big NFL prospects — a group that included quarterback Carson Strong and tight end Cole Turner — but he likely had the biggest impact of anyone on the roster throughout last season.
