When the Nevada and UNLV basketball programs resume their rivalry Wednesday night at Lawlor Events Center, it will be a role reversal rarely – if ever – seen in the series.
The Rebels have dominated this rivalry to the tune of a 59-23 all-time record against the Wolf Pack. Nevada has closed the gap in recent seasons, winning four of the last seven matchups between the Silver State schools, but never before has it entered a game against the Rebels in this situation.
Nevada has led the Mountain West for most of the season, although it enters Wednesday’s contest half a game behind Boise State.
