Nevada football coach Jay Norvell is close to taking the same job at Colorado State, according to reports.
The (Fort Collins) Coloradoan and Yahoo Sports both reported Monday that Norvell was on the verge of making the move. Both Nevada and Colorado State are members of the Mountain West.
Norvell is 33-26 since taking over at Nevada prior to the 2017 season. The Wolf Pack is scheduled to end its season on Dec. 27 at the Quick Lake Bowl in Detroit.
Colorado State fired Steve Addazio earlier this month after two drama-filled seasons. His final game with the Rams (3-9) came against Nevada, in which he was ejected in the first half.
