Nevada is reportedly close to hiring its next football coach, and it's someone who is familiar with the Wolf Pack program.
FootballScoop.com is reporting that the Nevada athletic administration is focusing on long-time assistant coach Ken Wilson as the next Wolf Pack coach.
Wilson was on the Nevada staff from 1989-2012 before spending the last nine seasons in the Pac-12. He was Oregon's co-defensive coordinator last season.
Oregon head coach Mario Cristobal recently took the head coaching job at Miami.
Football Scoop reported Thursday afternoon that Nevada officials were meeting with Wilson and that both sides believed a deal could be reached, sources told FootballScoop on Thursday.
