Brian Polian has had plenty of great mentors over the years.
His father, Bill, was a Hall of Fame NFL executive. Family friends Tony Dungy and Marv Levy are two of the best coaches in football history. He was on college staffs alongside head coaches Nick Saban, Jim Harbaugh, David Shaw, George O’Leary and Charlie Weis, each of whom led teams to BCS bowls.
But no coach had a bigger impact on Polian, the third-year coach of the Wolf Pack, than Texas A&M’s Kevin Sumlin, who will stand on the opposite sideline Saturday when Nevada takes on the Aggies.
