Wolf Pack swimmer Yawen Li entered her senior season with what seemed like a pretty simple goal.
She wanted to have fun.
Li, a native of Wuhan, China, had accomplished everything she wanted in her first three seasons with the Pack. She had set school records. She had set conference records. She had won events in the Mountain West Championships. She had swum in the NCAA Championships. She had become an All-American.
Li had put herself among the best swimmers in Nevada history. But one thing was lacking: fun. So, when new swimming coach Neil Harper was hired last July, Li told him she wanted to have fun as a senior.
