Nevada's Krysta Palmer made her synchronized diving debut over the weekend and won a gold and silver in the USA Diving Synchronized National Championships at Northside ISD Swim Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Palmer, who was partnered with Tarrin Gilliland of Liberty Hill, Texas, won the 10-meter synchro title, scoring a 574.92 points to take the top honors. The Douglas High graduate also placed runner-up in the event while paired with Katrina Young of Shoreline, Wash. They scored a 521.76 for the silver medal.
“I’ve never competed with either of them before and both Tarrin and Katrina are great partners,” Palmer told USA Diving after the meet.
