Pack's NCAA Tournament dream dies in loss to SDSU

LAS VEGAS – The Wolf Pack's dream of reaching the NCAA Tournament died Friday night at Thomas & Mack Center in the semifinal round of the Mountain West Tournament.

Fifth-seeded Nevada lost to top-seeded San Diego State, 67-55, despite a spirited second-half charge. The Wolf Pack trailed by 10 at halftime but rallied to tie the game with more than 11 minutes to play. But Nevada was never able to take the lead in the second half and struggled all game with turnovers.

The Wolf Pack (19-13) tied a season-high with 20 turnovers that led to 24 Aztecs points, which was the difference in the game.
