From the day Ahki Muhammad stepped on campus, Wolf Pack coach Brian Polian has liked him.
Physically, there’s nothing that screams out that Muhammad is an FBS-caliber football player. He’s listed at 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds, which might be generous, and although quick, he’s not exceptionally fast.
But there’s a certain intangible quality of confidence and toughness that exudes from Muhammad.
“I love Ahki Muhammad,” Polian said in August 2014 when Muhammad arrived in Reno as a freshman. “Ahki Muhammad is a little guy, but he carries himself, competes and talks like a guy who’s 6 foot.
