On the eve of the Wolf Pack baseball team's big series with UNLV, one of its reserve players was arrested Thursday morning.
Freshman Cooper Krug, 18, who starred at Reno High School before joining Nevada this season, was arrested on a charge of minor in possession of alcohol and destroying property of another person ranging from $250-$5,000. According to the Washoe County booking report, Krug was arrested at 3:23 a.m. Thursday.
A 6-foot-5, 215-pound first baseman, Krug has appeared in 11 games for Nevada with four starts this season. He is hitting 3-of-17 (.176) with a double and two RBIs.
