The Wolf Pack's McKenna Isenberg was named Mountain West softball pitcher of the week after going 2-0 with a 0.93 ERA and 19 strikeouts in two starts last weekend.
The weekly honor is the first for Isenberg and the second for Nevada this season. It’s the first time the Wolf Pack has seen weekly conference awards in back-to-back weeks since 2009 when Mallary Darby and Katie Holverson were named WAC Pitchers of the Week on March 9 and March 16, respectively. Senior shortstop Megan Sweet was named MW Player of the Week on Feb. 23.
Isenberg, who went the distance in both of her starts, allowed just two earned runs and seven hits in her wins over Santa Clara and Connecticut.
