Three Wolf Pack baseball players were honored Wednesday as the Mountain West handed out its annual conference awards.
Outfielder TJ Friedl was named to the All-MW first team and first baseman Jordan Pearce and second baseman Miles Mastrobuoni earned second-team honors.
Friedl, who redshirted last season because he wasn't going to receive much playing time, had a breakout 2016 season. The sophomore center fielder ranks second in the MW and 21st in the nation with a .391 average. In conference play, Friedl hit .374 with 37 runs, nine extra-base hits and 13 RBIs in 29 games. Friedl leads the conference in on-base percentage and runs scored and also ranks second in the nation in triples.
