Nevada linebacker Jordan Dorbrich, a three-time captain of the Wolf Pack, was named Thursday as one of 12 finalists for the William V. Campbell Trophy, awarded to the nation’s top football scholar-athlete.
As a finalist, Dobrich will received an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship and receive a trip to New York on Dec. 9 when the winner of the Campbell Trophy is announced. The winner will have his postgraduate scholarship increased to $25,000 in addition to being honored at the Home Depot College Football Awards show on ESPN on Dec. 10. He also will be honored during the national championship game.
