Wolf Pack sophomore Aaliyah Gibson was named the Mountain West player of the week on Tuesday.
In the team's series finale, Gibson hit .667 (8-of-12) with five RBIs, five runs and three extra-base hits. She recorded multiple hits in all three games against Utah State, with Nevada winning two of those, and posted a 1.250 slugging percentage.
The Austin, Texas native was 3-for-4 with a double in Nevada's game one win and she recorded three more hits in the second game, including a home run. She added a go-ahead three-run homer in the season finale.
Gibson becomes the fifth different Wolf Pack player this season to earn a conference weekly accolade, the most for the program since 2008 when it saw six different players land weekly honors in the WAC.
