The University of Nevada women’s tennis team defeated Idaho, 4-3, on Tuesday at Caughlin Club to conclude a perfect 3-0 homestand.
The Wolf Pack won its fifth consecutive match to even its overall record at 6-6. The Vandals fell to 9-6 on the season.
Trailing 3-2 the Pack needed wins on courts 1 and 2 to take the match. Sophomore Claudia Herrero dropped the first set to Idaho’s Marianna Petrei, 6-4, but rallied to win 7-5, 7-5 to even the score at three.
Herrero led the third set 5-2 but dropped three consecutive games and the set was tied.
